CIESAL associate researcher won an important award for his teaching work

CIESAL’s associate researcher, Sergio Muñoz Navarro, won the 2020 Continuing University Education Award.

The award is given to outstanding teachers in this field by the University Network of Continuing Education, which groups together 28 higher education institutions. The award will be presented in a ceremony during the VIII national and international “Continuing Education without Borders” Congress to be held on 26th and 27th November. Francesc Pedró, Director of the Unesco International Institute for Higher Education, is among the lecturers participating in this activity.

The executive committee of the awarding institution thanked Dr Muñoz for “his great contribution to the development of continuing education, particularly in the field of ​​health.”

Sergio Muñoz is a doctor in Biostatistics, holds a diploma in Clinical Epidemiology and is a professor at the Universidad de La Frontera in the Araucanía region in Chile. He is currently the director of the Department of Public Health, the Centre for Applied Studies in Health Equity and the e-learning Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology at said university.
