Cynthia Carrasco is a midwife from the Universidad de Valparaíso, holds a Diploma in university teaching and is a candidate for a Master’s Degree in Women’s Health from the Universidad Mayor. Currently, she works as an assistant professor at the School of Obstetrics and Paediatrics of the Universidad de Valparaíso, San Felipe Campus. She is in charge of the Obstetrics Breastfeeding Committee in San Felipe and has actively participated in the self-evaluation process for quality accreditation since 2017. Her line of research focuses on social phenomena that become determinants of sexual and reproductive health. She is currently leading a research group of the LOVE COVID-19 Working Group, where she performs a Living Systematic Review studying the effects of SARS COV-2 on breastfeeding.
