Mission and Vision

Mission

To strengthen, develop and transfer the results of interdisciplinary health research in order to foster the development of strategies aimed at promoting and/or improving the health and quality of life of the population through a (basic-clinical-demographic) translational approach to identify and provide answers to health problems.

Vision

CIESAL is a nation-wide benchmark for the generation and transfer of health-related knowledge based on rigorous scientific methodologies. It links academia, the public, private and manufacturing sectors as well as international bodies, within the field of health. In addition, it provides teaching and training, shares knowledge and generates thought leadership with regard to national or international health issues.
