Cristóbal Loézar is a surgeon and eye disease specialist at Universidad de Valparaíso. He has a Diploma in Evidence-Based Medicine and in University Teaching for Health Professionals from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also has a Diploma in Research Science and Evidence-Based Medicine from the Universidad de Los Andes. He is currently undertaking the clinical and research fellowship programme in cornea, cataract and ocular surface at Fundación Oftalmológica Los Andes of Universidad de Los Andes. He works as an assistant professor at the Department of Public Health of the School of Medicine of the Universidad de Valparaíso and is a member of the Cochrane Associate Centre of the Universidad de Valparaíso. He conducts research in ophthalmology (anterior segment of the eyeball) and in Evidence-based Health.
